The Next.e.GO Mobile SE<\/a> based in Aachen is a manufacturer of electric vehicles and sustainable mobility systems. At the RWTH Aachen Campus, 370 employees of Next.e.GO Mobile SE utilized the unique network of science and business with 420 technology companies and a comprehensive research infrastructure. Agile teams work on various cost-effective and particularly durable electric vehicles for short-distance traffic. As part of an IT carve-out, the company moved to the Aachen industrial park ‘Rothe Erde’ in September.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Initial Situation and Challenges<\/h5><\/div>

A particular challenge was presented by the two deadlines for the move and completion of the IT carve-out. In this context, it was important to adhere to and strictly monitor the agreed dates and deadlines.
At the start of the project, the position holder, who was absent for an extended period due to vacation, was available for a brief induction. Subsequently, the interim manager was the responsible contact person for the following topics: <\/p>

    digatus managed the ERP carve-out project very well and also supported us in the ITSM environment. A pragmatic ‘can-do’ attitude and passion distinguished digatus.     The digatus interim manager coordinated the contract management and acted as the central point of contact, particularly with the telecommunications service provider, cable network operator, and internet service provider ‘NetAachen’ and ‘Netgo’.
    Furthermore, he ensured the complete and timely ERP\/finance data export (including selection of relevant carve-out data) from the transferring ERP systems (PSI and eGecko). He also acted as the central point of contact for the data migration, which was migrated to Microsoft Navision Dynamics Business Central on the target company’s side. He also coordinated the sale of no longer needed IT infrastructure components (servers, telephony, network) that were taken over by the target company. In the field of engineering applications, he took over project controlling, focusing on PTC applications and TRIAS. As a member of the relocation team, the interim manager was the central point of contact for all IT topics.
    Parallel to the aforementioned topics, a new IT service provider had to be selected.
