How is the Mentoring Program Structured?<\/h5>

To optimize the initial onboarding and acclimatization of new employees, we have launched a mentoring program for our new consultants. Accordingly, each Junior Consultant is assigned a Senior as a personal mentor who supports them with advice and assistance. For working students or interns, this task is taken on by either a Junior or Lead Consultant. <\/p>

Process of the Mentoring Program<\/p>

After the official onboarding, the mentor and mentee first get to know each other. The mentor learns about the junior’s current knowledge level and interests, allowing them to better determine the mentee’s possible areas of deployment. Based on this, they define an internal project which they work on together in the following months. The junior takes on the role of project manager while the senior acts as an advisor. The project duration is designed to last about five months and ends with the presentation of results during a digatus academy session.
This type of onboarding is an initial opportunity for the junior to engage internally and offers many other positive aspects for both sides. <\/p>

What Are the Advantages of Mentoring?<\/h5>

From the beginning, the junior has a specific contact person and confidant in their mentor, which eases the entry and ensures a faster learning curve. The collaborative work on the internal project aims to increase the junior’s methodological competence and familiarize them with general procedures and processes. Thus, they gain real project experience and receive continuous feedback from their mentor to develop both personally and professionally. This early first project success and the presentation of results to the entire team significantly boosts the junior’s motivation. The mentoring program also serves as a guide for the junior’s professional specialization and career development. <\/p>

There are also several advantages for the mentor through participation in the program. The junior can support them in internal matters and thus immediately take on partial responsibility. Since each senior has free rein here, they can design the training very purposefully and thus train qualified project staff. Through this intensive exchange of experience, the senior can also pass on their accumulated knowledge to the junior, thereby anchoring it sustainably in the company. <\/p>

In addition to this important knowledge transfer, digatus benefits further from the rapid and profound integration of new employees. The early integration ensures higher employee satisfaction and enables better assessment of juniors regarding their development and potential.
