digatus adds IT M&A expertise through merger with M&A digitization partner MAxpertise GmbH

Munich, January 11, 2023: The IT service provider digatus it group AG continues its buy & build strategy and thus its growth course and complements existing IT M&A expertise by merging with M&A digitalization partner MAxpertise GmbH. With effect from 01.01.2023, MAxpertise is thus 100% part of the digatus group.

MAxpertise & digatus - M&A digitization solution paired with many years of M&A implementation expertise

MAxpertise was founded in 2019 with headquarters in Munich and sells a SaaS solution that covers digitization and project implementation of complex M&A processes. The platform is complemented by accompanying consulting services, which in combination enable a tool-supported transformation office and thus significantly increase efficiency in large M&A programs. MAxpertise focuses on companies that want to map their M&A scenarios more efficiently through digitization.

The MAxpertise brand will continue to exist in the future and will be integrated into the digatus Group over the course of the next few months and further developed in close cooperation with digatus it consulting GmbH. The goal is to further expand the market positioning in the area of M&A and to be able to offer an accompanying SaaS solution in the future in addition to the many years of experience as an IT M&A advisor.

“MAxpertise has developed brilliantly over the past three years and, in addition to optimizing the M&A tool and its own methodology, has been able to win important customers. From our point of view, the acquisition represents a perfect portfolio addition for the digatus group and is a further step in our Buy & build strategy. We are particularly pleased to welcome Johannes Ranftl as current and future managing director of MAxpertise in the digatus leadership."

"In recent years we have been able to get large companies enthusiastic about the platform and I am convinced that together with digatus we have the Mpossibility to grow even faster and more sustainably. In doing so, we are building on a long-standing partnership and know that the cultures of the companies fit together very well. In addition, we want to use the existing digatus M&A know-how and incorporate it into the platform in order to be able to cover further use cases."
