Clean Up! Do something good for nature with a Sunday walk

In recent months, many have used our beautiful, local nature for walks to be in the fresh air, get some exercise and clear their heads. But unfortunately, you often see waste lying on the side of the road that doesn't really belong there. To ensure that we can continue to fully enjoy the beauty of our home, we have joined VITAGO's garbage collection campaign.

Johannes Oberhofer and his team from VITAGO not only keep us moving with the daily Movement Break, but they also come up with interesting challenges and activities to participate in. This time they called on people to use their Sunday walk to do something good for the local environment and we were happy to follow this call. In wind and weather, some of our colleagues then went for a walk with their families and cleared the paths of rubbish.

We are participating in the Clean Up campaign!

Johannes tells us in a short interview what the Clean Up campaign is all about and how you can easily participate yourself.

How did the idea for the Clean Up campaign come about?

Our motto “living better together” is currently more important than ever. It is therefore a personal concern for my team and me to get more involved in community and non-profit projects. Even if our studio has to remain closed, we can still help our environment and our fellow human beings. Together with our members, acquaintances and partners, we would therefore like to start various campaigns to do something good for our region.
During our walks, we unfortunately keep noticing that the beauty of our local nature is all too often clouded by rubbish lying around. We are therefore dedicating our first campaign to the regional environment.

What exactly do you do at the Clean Up campaign and who can participate?

First, we called on our members and acquaintances to clear the paths of rubbish during their Sunday walk on March 7th. Our partners, such as digatus, then joined in and motivated their employees to participate. We prepared VITAGO bags with garbage bags and a water bottle for them, which they could pick up from us. In order to avoid group formation and thus comply with the current contact restrictions, everyone was individually on their regular route. A separate waste container was provided by our partner for all participants from Moosburg to dispose of the collected waste.

We are very pleased that so many people took part in our Clean Up campaign to combine sport with something useful. The great thing about the Clean Up campaign is that everyone can easily participate and make their contribution, because all you need is a garbage bag!
Our Clean Up campaign is just the beginning, we are already planning the next one. So if you also have ideas for the next joint campaign, just write them to us! We are already looking forward to your suggestions!
