We Are Becoming a Training Company and Welcome Our First Apprentice!

Since September 1st, we are now officially a training company. We are very pleased to be able to train Mohammed Diko as our first apprentice IT specialist in system integration.
Why We Are Becoming a Training Company Now

To meet our continuous growth in view of the prevailing shortage of skilled workers, in addition to cooperations with universities and student organizations, the topic of vocational training has been in focus for quite some time. The proximity to regional schools and institutions, as well as the exchange with other training companies, is also important to us.

Another relevant point for starting to train our own apprentices right now was the reorganization of IT professions as of August 1, 2020. The change was driven primarily by the increasing digitalization in training companies to meet the requirements of the so-called Economy 4.0. For the profession of IT specialist, there were previously two specializations: application development and system integration. These have now been expanded by two new ones: digital networking and data and process analysis. The innovation offers us the opportunity to include various business areas in the training and thus also to represent and impart a broader spectrum of qualifications.

Several of our colleagues have already guided apprentices multiple times and have the appropriate qualifications and experiences. Therefore, we can currently train apprentices for the professions of IT system management specialist, digitalization management specialist, and IT specialist for system integration. To soon be able to train IT specialists in application development, digital networking, and data and process analysis, more of our colleagues are currently acquiring the necessary prerequisites.

Our First Apprentice

After receiving numerous promising applications for our first apprenticeship positions and conducting initial interviews, we invited Mohammed Diko for a week-long internship to get to know each other. The Syrian, who has been living in Germany for about five years, was able to convince us of himself, his skills, and his motivation during this week. Therefore, we are very pleased that he has decided to complete his apprenticeship with us.

“During my internship week at digatus, I was able to get a good impression of what to expect in the apprenticeship. All colleagues were nice and friendly, and I liked it there very much. So I decided to start my apprenticeship at digatus.”

Mohammed Diko

As our first apprentice, he is now learning the profession of IT specialist in system integration. During his apprenticeship, he will learn how to solve everyday computer problems for users and how to analyze and fix possible system malfunctions. He will also assist in advising and training users. His tasks include networking various hardware and software components in a coordinated manner so that they are compatible with each other. In doing so, he learns, for example, how to reliably plan, build, set up, and continuously support IT systems according to customer requirements.

We wish you a good start to your apprenticeship, Mohammed, and hope that you will continue to enjoy your time with us!
