Official launch of the digatus academy with a workshop on the topic of Modern Workplace with CoffeeNet 365.

With the establishment of the digatus academy this year, we have given our internal training courses a professional framework. In this format, we offer our employees a platform where they can pass on their expertise and accumulated experience to their colleagues. This prevents the creation of information silos and ensures that valuable knowledge is not lost.

Last Friday, numerous new employees gathered for an interesting workshop at the digatus academy. They received an initial introduction to the digatus Modern Workplace approach and were given a guide on how we communicate and work together in the digital age.

The perfect working day for our employees begins with a look at the homepage in the digatusNet. Here they will find the latest company news and can quickly find out about new developments in projects or working groups as well as upcoming events. In addition, the most recently edited documents are displayed, which means that you can continue directly where you left off the day before with just one click. Everyone has the opportunity to customize their homepage and can optimize their own workflow by directly linking to frequently used pages and documents.

Document management –
put an end to version madness

Who doesn’t know them, file names like “Offer_v32.2.1_new_revised_on.docx”? The continuous versioning of documents always ensures confusing structures and makes collaboration in teams considerably more difficult. In addition, there are the different versioning styles and naming conventions of the individual employees. Here you can quickly lose track.

The automatic versioning in CoffeeNet 365 puts an end to this madness. Different team members can work on documents at the same time without creating version conflicts, both online and in the client application. The detailed history also provides standard access to the last 500 versions and shows who made which changes and when.

Find documents through intelligent tagging!

A primary goal of the collaboration solution is to find information quickly and easily. To this end, the central search in the digatusNet accesses not only file names, authors, meta information and the content of the documents, but also the additionally assigned tags. Similar to the widespread hashtags in social media, tags offer the possibility to easily tag files and assign them to a topic, regardless of file names. Predefined and freely definable tags help to find relevant information immediately without having to click through a widely branched folder structure.

Collaboration –
modern teamwork in real time

Workgroups are intended to help employees store their topics related to customers, technologies or processes in a structured manner and work on them across the organization. For further support, there are virtual meeting rooms, which are well suited, for example, for recording minutes of meetings. Individual tasks can be easily generated and quickly assigned to the appropriate team members. These tasks are then automatically transferred to the virtual to-do list of the respective colleagues.

Another benefit within the tool is the popular blogging function. Among other things, it can document the project progress as a kind of team diary and highlight special successes or milestones. This direct exchange of information within the application reduces the need for additional communication and thus prevents an e-mail flood.

This successful start to the digatus academy will be followed by regular events on internal topics, project experience, specialist knowledge and technological trends in order to further establish the training format. This makes it easier for new employees to get started and helps us to make information and knowledge accessible to all colleagues.
