Feelgood & Health Management, Because Working Hours are Life

Digatus Feelgood and Health Management
Even though we had already adopted flexible working arrangements before the pandemic, it has significantly transformed our work environment, making it even more dynamic. This presents new challenges for both employees and companies, and not everyone can cope effectively on their own. Therefore, in April, we decided to expand our People and Culture department to include the Feelgood & Health Management segment, specifically to address the needs of our team members.
Why is it Beneficial to Establish Feelgood & Health Management?

Only a few companies currently have an actively implemented Feelgood & Health Management. However, its significance is increasingly coming into focus, especially considering the statement “Working hours are life” already mentioned in the heading. Particularly in the current situation, phrases like the following are increasingly heard in conversations with employees or colleagues:

“Especially now in the home office, I find it difficult to find the right balance between work and family.”

“Previously, I at least moved to and within the office! I really miss that now!”

“If private problems concern me at work, I don’t really want to bother my supervisor with them! That’s not his concern.”

Therefore, we have brought Johannes (Hannes) Oberhofer on board as a neutral coach, who can draw on over a decade of experience in individual coaching and training. He now integrates his passion for helping people live better into our corporate culture.

With digatus Feelgood & Health Management, we aim to create an appropriate framework where all employees can develop professionally and personally to their fullest potential. To achieve this, we must jointly identify strategies and integrate them into daily work – precisely because we spend a significant portion of our lives at work!

What Does Feelgood & Health Management Look like in Practice?

For many, Feelgood & Health initially sounds like an “entertainment program” within the company – but it encompasses far more than “just” planning team events.

Feelgood primarily addresses topics such as mental health, work-life balance, and resilience. The Health area, on the other hand, focuses on classic health issues like healthy posture at work, a functional (home) office setup, and making “better choices” regarding nutrition. Both areas are closely interconnected, mutually influential, and share the same starting point: COMMUNICATION.

“Our guiding principle in digatus Feelgood & Health Management is: Working hours are life – and this is worth valuing!”

The first step primarily involves identifying, on a personal level, which daily activities “give energy” and which “drain energy.” Subsequently, individual strategies are developed to integrate “energy-givers” more frequently into daily life, thereby reducing time spent on “energy-drainers.” This has included everything from regular “microbreaks” after each meeting and optimizing personal time management to even dog sponsorships at animal shelters!

As Feelgood & Health Management, represented by Hannes, operates neutrally, all individuals involved in the company benefit. Existing successful practices are enhanced, while potential impediments are simultaneously addressed to boost the performance of each individual and, consequently, the entire group!
Our guiding principle in digatus Feelgood & Health Management is: Working hours are life – and this is worth valuing.
