digatus supports Infrareal in the takeover of the pharmaceutical and biotech site in Orth

digatus had already carried out the IT due diligence in advance and is now supporting Infrareal Holding GmbH & Co. KG during the takeover and integration of the pharmaceutical and biotech site.
During the 1-month IT due diligence at the beginning of the year, digatus subjected the target company’s IT landscape to a detailed review, including through:

  • Analysis of the current IT situation
  • Development of a potential IT vision
  • Cost, investment and risk assessment
  • Checking the compatibility and integration possibilities of applications
Infrareal Holding will take over the 24-hectare site, including the buildings, infrastructure facilities and some pharmaceutical production plants. The site in Orth, Austria, is a competence center for the pharmaceutical and life science industry with a focus on gene and cell therapy as well as biologics. Infrareal intends to use its many years of experience in the operation of pharmaceutical sites to expand and further develop the location. The company is thus pursuing its announced strategy of becoming one of the leading operators of pharmaceutical and biotech sites in the German-speaking region.

About Infrareal Holding GmbH & Co. KG
Infrareal employs over 800 people and specializes in the operation and development of pharmaceutical parks with a focus on pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and life sciences. To this end, it acquires new industrial parks, pharmaceutical parks, real estate and infrastructure in order to operate highly complex multi-user sites. It is particularly important to Infrareal to create long-term prospects for the respective locations. The company currently operates more than 250 buildings and facilities.

For Stumpp + Schüle GmbH, an automotive supplier, the IT due diligence and the following IT carve-out from the Lesjöfors Group marked a decisive step towards independence. The aim was to make the IT infrastructure independent and future-proof in order to pave the way for autonomous and flexible action as an independent company. The main challenge here was to continue the existing systems and processes independently of the parent company without affecting ongoing operations. Thanks to well thought-out planning and professional implementation, this vision was successfully realized.
